Job description

This is a Part Time position in the field of Production Coordinator / Project Management, located in San Francisco, CA.

The position pays $500.00 — $800.00 per day.

The Production Manager is responsible for managing project scope for all sized events. This position will create a project plan: timeline, identifying deadlines for client input, accurately quoting and scheduling labor, and resolving and minimizing delays. The Production Manager will ensure successful and profitable execution of events by following Technical and Production Standards and supporting the implementation of processes and SOP’s that drive consistency in event production.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning & Execution: Prepare and communicate technical production & labor schedules, sub-rental requirements, project scope, execution plan, and individual responsibilities to team members, vendors, and venue partners.
  • Resource Management: Determine and secure the resources required to successfully complete each project. Building orders within our CRM (Rentman), taking in client needs, building quotes, and booking labor.
  • Drive Results: Maintain focus on client needs by attending client meetings, creating and maintaining organized show documentation, and responding to client concerns and questions.
  • Scope & Logistics: Monitor project scope throughout the event planning process and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Manage all logistics, including industry-specific labor booking (union vs. non-union).
  • Onsite Leadership: Act as the project leader and onsite contact for the client throughout the event. Provide leadership for onsite teams and perform hands‑on work as required.
  • Technical Management: Manage all phases of event technical execution from load‑in through run of show to load‑out. Manage onsite changes, including schedule, equipment, or workforce modifications.
  • Equipment & Drafting: Assist with the creation of technical diagrams when required (Vectorworks).
Experience

Job Requirements – Experience: 4+ years of technical experience in the AV, Broadcast, or Corporate events industry (Project Management experience preferred) and 3+ years of Supervisory experience.

Communication & Relationships: Strong written and oral communication skills with strong client relationship skills.

Technical Background: Strong technical background with experience in Microsoft devices, Office suite, and cloud office. Familiarity with CRM and production software.

Logistics & Physical: Operational logistics experience. Adaptability: Works well under pressure with the ability to manage multiple complex job functions within a fast‑paced environment.

Mandatory: High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass a background check.

Travel & Credentials: Must have a valid Driver’s License and Real ID or Passport. Ability to travel across the U.S. and Canada.

Nice to Have – Drafting experience (Vectorworks). Current Passport. Class A License. Ability to operate heavy equipment and drive trucks/vans.
