Summary

Celestica is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations. This key role requires 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience and deep expertise in electronics manufacturing, specializing in the assembly and integration of advanced liquid cooling solutions and data center racks. The Manager will be fully accountable for achieving daily production goals, maintaining high quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe, high-performance work environment.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Production & OTD Management: Direct all aspects of the daily production schedule, coordinating diverse resources (materials, personnel, equipment) to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) and volume targets within budget.
  • Process Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Specialized Integration: Oversee manufacturing lines dedicated to the integration of complex systems, specifically managing the assembly, testing, validation, and reparation of products at the manufacturing site.
  • Quality & Metrics: Coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics. Drive the attainment of key performance indicators (KPIs) for yield, cost reduction, and throughput.
  • Business Impact: Apply in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit to guide operational strategy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and develop robust, repeatable production processes.
  • Communication & Reporting: Effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers on production status, escalations, and resolution plans, and provide timely, accurate reports to senior management.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all EHS policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 7 to 10+ years of progressive experience in high-volume electronics or complex system manufacturing, with a minimum of 3 years in a direct management role.
  • Proven experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or related high-tech hardware. Direct experience with liquid cooling and rack-level (L11+) integration is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels in a highly dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing control systems, process flow, and modern quality methodologies (e.g., FMEA, RCA).
  • Ability to use some or all of the following applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, PowerPoint.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work Environment: Duties are primarily performed in a high-tech manufacturing facility environment, which may include occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and operating machinery.
  • Physical Demands: Requires periodic sustained visual concentration on detailed data or computer monitors. Duties may involve occasional lifting, standing, walking, and the ability to navigate the production floor. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., computer use, data entry) are frequently required.
  • Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to support customer interactions, supplier visits, or other Celestica sites.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.
