Job summary

Allegheny Center Alliance Church is seeking a Production Manager to coordinate all production elements for weekly services and events, including AVL, livestream, and stage management. This role leads volunteers and collaborates with the Worship Pastor and Technical Director to deliver a compelling weekend experience.

Sunday: 6 AM – 2 PM, Monday: 12PM – 8 PM; Tuesday 9 AM – 3 PM;

Summary

The Production Manager is a key cog in the corporate worship experience of ACAC. This position is responsible for coordinating all production elements needed for executing weekly services and events. Audio, lighting, and video support are also encompassed in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and facilitate the execution of all necessary live production elements (AVL, livestream, etc.) by engaging volunteers, staff and contractors to fulfill the vision of a given service or event.
  • Serve as the primary Producer for ACAC weekly services.
  • Cooperate with the Worship Pastor and Music Director for execution of weekend services and special events.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and maintain a team of production volunteers for weekend services and other church events.
  • Ensure all production elements in the service flow are in place and that volunteers are fully prepared.
  • Clearly communicate the technical/aesthetic vision to the live production teams.
  • Fulfill other weekend production positions (lights, video switcher , etc.) when staff or volunteers are not available to serve.
  • Troubleshoot equipment required for weekend ministry as needed.
  • Set up for weekly rehearsals.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Director to contribute to and execute the technical/aesthetic vision for weekend services and events, maintaining a high level of production excellence.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Director to provide basic training for other ministries’ volunteers in support of recurring events such as those held by Adult Life, College & Career and Student Ministries as well as auxiliary church programming (weddings, funerals, monthly prayer nights, etc.).
  • Provide support of ACAC hosted events at the request of the Worship Pastor.
  • Attend weekly meetings for weekend service planning and review, as well as event planning with Creative Arts and Worship staff.
  • Propose and implement processes and tactics to enhance ACAC’s live production.
  • Test media content prior to weekend services.

Required Qualifications
  • Able to multi-task on-going projects, deal with conflict, and maintain focus

  • Working knowledge of various AVL equipment
  • Ability to lead a team of people and mentor others
  • Experience in a live production environment with church production experience preferred
  • Experience in mixing audio for a larger venue
  • Experience mixing audio for different music styles including, but not limited to, traditional, gospel, CCM, and choral music
  • Have a keen sense of project management – be able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Model spiritual leadership and lifestyle consistent with the beliefs of ACAC
  • Attends service of ACAC and promotes the vision of the church and the Worship department
  • Have people skills and build relationships
  • Have a passion for ministry with a “whatever it takes” attitude

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mixing audio for professional music recordings preferred.
  • Experience with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Premiere Elements, etc. preferred.
  • Experience with graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • To be able to lift, bend, use a step ladder, and climb stairs.
  • Talking (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word) and hearing (perceiving the nature of sounds) are required.
