Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to guide a high-functioning area, optimize performance, and drive productivity enhancements.

The role focuses on developing and implementing smarter production methods while participating in budget planning for expenses and capital investments. The candidate should bring a BS in Production Management or related field, or 6–8 years in manufacturing, with Lean Manufacturing experience, plus strong leadership and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or related field OR 6 to 8 years' experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or related area.
• Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Proven work experience as a plant manager, or equivalent
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
• Computer literacy
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
