Job summary

Tuff Shed is hiring a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Idaho. The role focuses on supervising the production team, scheduling labor, and ensuring safety and quality across operations.

You will recruit production staff, manage tools/inventory, and support warranty repairs at job sites. Strong CRM and MS Office skills highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in construction or manufacturing, preferably.
• Strong safety management experience is required.
• Experience supervising employees and handling ER issues.
• Hands-on, fast-paced environment experience with large volumes.
• Proficient computer skills and CRM familiarity are highly preferred.
• Able to read/write/interpret instructions and create reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Production Foreman and production staff.
• Plan and schedule labor and materials for daily operations.
• Recruit production roles and manage performance development.
• Ensure tools and equipment are secured, inventoried, and safe.
• Handle warranty repairs and customer service on-site as needed.
• Monitor quality, safety, and cooperation with subcontractors.
• Assist in inventory counts and monthly cycle counts.

Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and motivatedProduction Manager to contribute to the success of our manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and the chance to make a real impact to the Company.

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising the Production Foreman and production employees
• Performing various manual tasks on a regular basis that are associated with the Store’s Operations function to include but not limited to loading trucks, fabricating buildings, operating a forklift, picking up and delivering materials to job sites, etc.
• Overseeing daily planning/scheduling of the Operations team’s labor and materials
• In partnership with Store management, responsible for recruitment of Production roles, including Prefabricators
• Ensuring tools and equipment are secured, inventoried, and maintained; and that they meet Tuff Shed safety requirements
• Overseeing hardware allocation and inventory
• Occasionally performing customer service duties such as resolving warranty issues by performing those repair tasks required to satisfy the customer and fix the product at the job site
• Inspecting completed buildings periodically and providing feedback to Subcontractors and Operations team employees on job performance, safety, and quality concerns
• Along with the Operations Manager, performs production safety training and participating in national safety conference calls
• Performs work related injury investigations and follow up, as directed by Store Manager (GM/DM)
• Assists with performance management, career development and disciplinary action when needed of production team members
• Resolving work problems among Store production employees, always keeping the GM/DM abreast of final decisions
• Assisting the GM/DM in performing monthly cycle counts and ongoing inventory management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two years of construction or manufacturing experience, preferred
• Significant experience in safety management
• Experience supervising employees and resolving employee relations issues
• Hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or operations environment with an organization recognized for quality products and service
• Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications required; experience in utilizing Customer Relations Management (CRM) software – including Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce.com, Goldmine or similar systems is highly preferred
• Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
• Ability to use arithmetic, mathematical, accounting, and financial tools as they apply to Tuff Shed business
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
• Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for Tuff Shed
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the public
