Production Manager — Power Electronics Manufacturing
This is a hands-on leadership role running day-to-day manufacturing across SMT, module assembly, test, and systems integration — and, at the same time, building the organization that will carry the next generation of products.
The Production Manager owns safe, predictable execution of the established product lines and consistent delivery against customer commitments, while leading the manufacturing launch of new products from prototype through ramp. Doing both well means developing the people, processes, systems, and capacity to support future product platforms rather than simply protecting today’s output. Success depends on tight partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Test, and Operations.
Lead Responsibilities:
Daily Manufacturing Operations
- Lead daily operations across SMT, PCB, assembly, test, and systems integration to safely meet customer commitments and operational objectives.
- Manage production resources to maximize throughput while holding safety, quality, delivery, and labor performance.
- Set priorities, make timely operational calls, and clear the barriers keeping the floor from hitting production and business targets.
New Product Introduction
- Lead manufacturing execution of new product introductions from prototype through production ramp, without giving up delivery on current production.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Test to land successful launches.
- Drive manufacturing readiness through planning of capacity, staffing, equipment, tooling, training, documentation, and process — then transition new products into stable, repeatable, high-volume production.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve manufacturability, standardize processes, optimize flow, and add capacity.
People and Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and production personnel — building the next layer of manufacturing leadership.
- Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and teamwork on the floor.
Data and Continuous Improvement
- Gather, validate, and analyze production data using Power BI, ERP, and shop floor metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives: implement sustainable corrective actions and challenge conventional thinking where it limits performance.
- Present operational performance during Monthly Operations Reviews.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading supervisors and multi-line production teams.
- Strong background in production planning, labor management, and continuous improvement.
- Direct experience with new product introductions and production ramp-ups.
- Power electronics, electrical assembly, SMT, or PCB manufacturing experience. Power BI or comparable manufacturing reporting and analytics
