OnPoint Search Group is seeking a Production Manager for a MetroWest MA-based residential remodeler. You will lead the production department, align systems, and scale operations from current revenue toward a higher growth trajectory.

You will manage PMs, APMs and field team, own the production schedule, ensure on-budget builds, and hand off projects with quality and a superior client experience. A 90-day onboarding plan supports a smooth integration with ownership.

Responsabilités

• Set jobs up to succeed: participate in handoff meetings, review scopes for completeness, sign off on budgets before a job is considered buildable
• Oversee project management: schedules, daily logs, weekly reports, three-week lookaheads, and consistent use of JobTread and CompanyCam
• Protect quality: own the quality control system, checklists, jobsite visits and milestone reviews

• Deliver a great client experience: client check-ins, escalation handling and protecting the company’s reputation

Production Manager, Established Residential Remodeler (MetroWest area, Massachusetts)

Our client is looking for a Production Manager to lead its production department, build the systems behind it, and help take an architecturally driven remodeler from about $16M to $30M in revenue.

The Opportunity

Our client is an architecturally driven residential remodeling company in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts. The team is small and close, and the company is ready to grow. Ownership is hiring a leader who can run production with consistency, accountability and strong systems, so that quality and customer experience hold up as volume increases.

This is a leadership role. You will manage the Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and field team, own the company-wide production schedule, and make sure every job is handed off well, built on budget, built right, and closed out cleanly. You will step into a clear 90-day onboarding plan with real support from ownership.

What You Will Own

• Lead the production team: manage all PMs, APMs, carpenters, laborers and production staff; hold weekly PM accountability meetings; build training plans; recommend hiring, promotions, compensation and bonuses
• Set jobs up to succeed: take part in handoff meetings, review scopes for completeness, and sign off on the production budget before a job is called buildable
• Oversee project management: schedules, daily logs, weekly reports, three-week lookaheads, and consistent use of JobTread and CompanyCam
• Protect quality: own the quality control system, checklists, jobsite visits and milestone reviews, and evaluate subcontractor quality
• Own the production schedule and capacity: build the company-wide schedule and forecast starts, manpower and subcontractor capacity months ahead
• Control budget and cost: weekly budget reviews, early overrun detection, recovery plans, monthly cost-to-complete for WIP reporting, and the production department budget
• Deliver a great client experience: client check-ins, escalation handling, and protecting the company's reputation
• Build the bench and the systems: subcontractor and vendor scorecards, repeatable processes, dashboards, templates and AI tools, and a KPI scorecard that reduces reliance on individual heroics

Who We Are Looking For

The company is open to strong leaders from residential or commercial construction. Management skill and systems thinking matter more than the type of building.

• A proven leader of project managers and field teams, comfortable coaching, setting standards and holding people accountable
• KPI-driven and tech-minded, with experience building or improving systems, dashboards and scorecards
• Strong job cost fluency, including budget reviews, cost-to-complete and WIP reporting
• Experience owning a company-wide or multi-project production schedule and forecasting capacity
• Customer service mindset and calm handling of client escalations
• A collaborative style that works well alongside a hands‑on owner
• Preferred: experience with JobTread, CompanyCam or similar construction management software, and a background in high‑end residential remodeling. Both are trainable

Your First 90 Days

Days 1 to 30: learn and observe. Days 31 to 60: manage with support and lead the weekly production meeting. Days 61 to 90: take ownership of the production meeting, global schedule, PM accountability, and budget and QC rhythms, then present a 90‑day assessment and 6‑month improvement plan.
