Job summary

Hanes Companies in Calhoun, GA seeks a Production Manager to lead two shifts, directing roughly 40 production staff while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery performance. You will plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet customer demand and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities also include coaching team members, managing scheduling and labor needs, and driving continuous improvement across the operation. A strong safety mindset and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in manufacturing, business, or operations management is preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of production scheduling, performance management, and facility maintenance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support hiring efforts, onboarding, and workforce planning, including managing temporary labor through staffing agencies.
• Track and analyze machine operator and overall production performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate results to leadership.
• Partner with Operations leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and reinforce a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and established safety procedures.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to improve workplace safety.
• Reconcile employee timecards and payroll information each pay period.
• Purchase supplies and materials necessary to support daily operations.
