Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Production Manager for our Lubbock, TX venue. This role coordinates all technical stage aspects, including electrics, audio, fly, crewing, logistics, and preventive maintenance for licensees.

You will oversee load-ins, setups, show runs, and strikes; coordinate backstage logistics with the union; prepare event estimates; and supervise stage personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Theater with technical emphasis or equivalent.
  • 3-year minimum experience in a performing arts center/theater.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, safety regulations and budget management.
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with licensee all pre-performance technical requirements.
  • Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs and strikes for all shows.
  • Coordinate backstage logistics with local Stage Employees Union business representative.
  • Prepare event estimates and update the client and event file with changes.
  • Coordinate front of house details for events and manage payroll for stage personnel.
  • Supervise a preventative maintenance program for lighting, sound, and backstage equipment.
  • Recommend capital purchases or improvements and ensure safety compliance.
  • Serve as Event Manager on Duty when required.

Sound like a winning formula for you? **Join us!****THE ROLE**This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all technical stage aspects which include, but are not limited to, electrics, audio, fly, crewing, logistics and preventive maintenance for all stage systems, personnel and equipment for licensees of the facility.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Coordinate with licensee all pre-performance technical requirements.* Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs and strikes for all shows to include civic events, Broadway shows, symphony performances and national concert tours.* Coordinate all backstage logistics for shows with local Stage Employees Union business representative.* Prepare and coordinate with the event manager all “back of house” event information.* Coordinate “front of house” details for specified events* Prepare the event estimate and update the client and event file with changes in the estimate.* Prepare and process stage employee union payroll.* Process production vendor charges through purchasing system, steward vendor relationships and payment of charges via credit card or check, work with Administrative Assistance to reconcile credit card statements monthly.* Supervise a preventative maintenance program for all light, sound, and backstage equipment.* Recommend capital purchases or improvements to Facility Director* Provide for the training, safe working conditions and welfare of stage employees in accordance with Legends Global policies, union guidelines and applicable EEO and OSHA regulations.* Serve as Event Manager on Duty as required.**Supervisory Responsibilities**Directly supervises Managers, Assistants or Coordinators in the Production Department. The Production Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.**Qualifications**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
