Job summary

Jobtailor in Largo, FL, seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead a production area and ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost control. You will direct operations through supervisors, optimize production planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

You will manage staffing, training, and performance, collaborate with maintenance and vendors, and leverage ERP/MRP systems to maintain inventory accuracy and responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Associates Related Field required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing management and/or production planning experience required.
• Strong ERP/MRP systems experience required.

Job description

• Manage and lead a production area in order to meet safety, quality, customer experience, production output and cost control objectives directly and through supervisors.
• Provide direction and leadership to the facility/area operations.
• Ensure safety compliance in the assigned area and in accordance with company requirements and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs including physically checking production and assisting with machine set-ups.
• Consistently lead teams to meet production and/or shipping goals to meet or exceed customer demand.
• Coordinate and oversee training for safety and manufacturing operations.
• Monitor inventory levels necessary to create production plans in order to meet requirements.
• Direct, assist and evaluate supervisors and production associates in both daily and long term requirements and goals.
• Ability to interact professionally with others including co-workers, vendors and customers.
• Ability to prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions.
• Monitors and maintains efficiencies to achieve best cost and on-time delivery.
• Review and approve employee time and schedules, including overtime management.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assists with Capital Expenditure planning to improve safety and operational efficiencies.
• Assists with equipment troubleshooting and communications with maintenance on needs.
• Responsible for the professional development of team members, playing a key role in guiding, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to support team members in reaching their full potential.

Requirements

• Associates Related Field required
• 5+ Years of manufacturing management and/or production planning experience required
• Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
• Strong skills and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required
• SAP S4/Hana experience preferred.
• 5% of time traveling as necessary for training, meetings, and to assist other facilities.
