Job summary

ACCU-STAFF is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations across die casting, machining and assembly in a Tier 1 automotive setting. You will coach and develop your team while driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost performance.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will champion Lean and continuous improvement, manage staffing and budgets, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to elevate plant performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a Tier 1 automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing KPIs (OEE, productivity, delivery).
  • Experience with die casting, machining, assembly and tooling is a strong asset.
  • Hands-on leadership style with ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Experience budgeting and cost control.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established Tier 1 automotive manufacturer. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead production operations across die casting, machining and assembly, with direct responsibility for driving results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead day-to-day production across die casting, machining and assembly operations.
  • Coach, mentor and develop production leaders and team members while building a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Drive achievement of key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, productivity, scrap, downtime, labour efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Identify operational challenges, determine root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to improve overall plant performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and efficient utilization of labour, equipment and materials.
  • Maintain strong compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Participate in budgeting, cost control and capital expenditure planning.
  • Communicate production performance, priorities and action plans to plant leadership.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally within a Tier 1 automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing operations and production KPIs.
  • Experience with die casting, machining, assembly and/or tooling is a strong asset.
  • Proven success leading, coaching and developing production teams.
  • Strong understanding of OEE, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis and Lean principles.
  • Experience managing budgets, labour costs and operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary Range: $120-160K/year
