Job summary

IndiMade Brands LLC is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the Soap, Fragrance, and Repack departments, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. You will manage staffing, ensure inventory accuracy, and coordinate with leaders to uphold standards and drive improvements.

You will lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, enforce GMPs, and partner with Purchasing and Product Managers to meet demand while coaching team leads and staff toward continuous development and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in production/manufacturing.
• At least 2 years applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience with WMS and ERP software.
• Experience in production environments, preferably with chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs and SOPs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflows efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan labor, equipment, and supplies to meet demand.
• Ensure production schedules, quality control, and inventory accuracy.
• Drive productivity improvements and cost reductions.
• Maintain OSHA safety compliance and PPE usage.
• Train staff, conduct performance reviews, and support HR on staffing decisions.
• Monitor KPIs and pursue continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Product Managers on inventory needs.

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the Soap Department, Fragrance Department, and Repack Department. This role requires a focus on safety, quality, and productivity while fostering a positive, team-oriented workplace. The Production Manager must ensure inventory is accurate within their department. The Production Manager will collaborate with Department Leads, Distribution Manager, Customer Service Manager, Sr. Operations Manager and Distribution Director to maintain operational standards and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Supervise, train and provide guidance to the Soap Team Lead, Fragrance Team Lead, and Repack Team Lead.
• Foster a collaborative and professional workplace environment through effective communication and relationship building.
• Maintain employee records, training records and daily timecards.
• Communicates and coordinates daily staffing needs with Department Leads and Managers and staffing agencies.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, address concerns, and share updates.

Production Coordination

• Oversee soap production, fragrance oil pouring and repack.
• Strategic planning of labor, equipment and supplies to meet demand; focus on upcoming promos.
• Ensure all departments meet production schedules, quality control standards, and inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Product Managers to identify and address inventory needs.

Operational Efficiency

• Implement and oversee workflows to maximize productivity across all departments.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and operational success.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify, investigate root cause of production and inventory issues and drive resolution.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures.
• Train employees in safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Drive a high standard of housekeeping and GMPs.

Employee Development

• Train and mentor team leads and staff to build skills and encourage professional growth.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees.
• Partner with Human Resources on hiring, discipline, and termination decisions as needed.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all manufactured products meet established quality control standards.
• Address and resolve quality issues in coordination with the respective departments.

Inventory Management

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies.
• Ensure efficient use of resources to reduce waste and optimize storage capacity.

Facility Maintenance

• Oversee routine maintenance of production areas, including equipment, and safety features.
• Communicate with vendors to schedule required repairs and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience with WMS and ERP software.
• Experience working in a production environment, preferably with chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and familiar with designing and maintaining SOPs
• Proven ability to lead effectively by fostering positive experiences and motivating teams.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflows efficiently.

Physical Requirements

• Bending & Reaching – Occasionally required to bend, stoop, or reach to inspect equipment or processes.
