Production Manager – Engineering Background Required (Degree or Engineering Experience Needed)

We are seeking a Production Manager with strong people leadership skills and experience in lean manufacturing. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred, but applicants without a degree must have a solid engineering background to be considered.

About the Role

As our Production Manager, you will oversee daily operations for a team of about 60 employees across preprocessing, welding, and assembly. You will lead 8 team leaders and ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production departments and team leaders
• Ensure safety, quality, output, and delivery performance
• Drive continuous improvement using lean tools (5S, KPIs, process optimization)
• Support strategic operations decisions and implement goals on the shop floor
• Coach and develop team leaders and operators
• Work with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Technical Service, and Sales on key projects

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field OR a proven engineering background
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge
• Experience managing teams in a production, welding, or assembly environment
• Strong communication, analytical skills, and a hands‑on, coaching leadership style
• Passion for continuous improvement and familiarity with tools like OEE, 5S, FMEA, and KPIs
