Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Production Manager for the Hanover, PA plant. You will oversee the production floor, lead supervisors and operators, and drive productivity, safety, and quality across the site.

You will champion CI/LEAN initiatives, manage daily operations, and collaborate with quality, engineering, and plant leadership to meet production targets and uphold site standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in safety, quality, and process improvement.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to production supervisors and operators to meet targets and schedules.
  • Coordinate production workflows, monitor lines, and ensure materials and equipment are available.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality standards.
  • Lead CI/LEAN initiatives and engage employees in process improvements.
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching; resolve quality issues with QA and engineering teams.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant production area; contribute to site reports.

Job Description
About the Role

As a Production Manager, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Hanover, PA plant, a manufacturer of quality pretzels. Your role will directly impact the success of the site by ensuring smooth production operations, by overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor.

You will lead a team of supervisors, operators, and workers, focusing on maximizing productivity, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards, making a meaningful difference in the day-to-day experience of employees.

You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to production supervisors and team members, including assigning tasks and ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
  • Coordinate production workflows, monitor production lines, and ensure equipment and materials are available.
  • Lead and promote a safety-first culture by actively supporting the site's Health & Safety program and provide leadership while ensuring compliance with all Food Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and foster an environment of employee engagement, empowerment, and teamwork, particularly in relation to CI, LEAN, and other change-driven areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues, collaborating with quality control and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Monitor production processes to prevent defects and minimize waste.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production performance, including any issues or improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and plant policies and procedures, including collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.
  • Serve as an active member of the Plant Steering Team, contributing to site strategy, performance, and continuous improvement objectives.

The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $ 97,500 to $146,300 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
