We're looking for a hands-on Production Manager to own day-to-day performance on the floor — hitting spec, on-time delivery, and labor and scrap targets — while leading a team of Team Leads and production staff through daily execution.What You'll DoFloor LeadershipDirectly manage all Team Leads and production employees in each process areaRun daily production huddles or shift handoffs to align the team on priorities and open issuesHold regular one-on-ones with Team Leads and associate staff; coach, develop, and manage performance in partnership with HRApprove time-off requests, manage overtime, and balance staffing across areas as workload shiftsBuild bench strength by identifying and developing future Team Leads and cross-trained operatorsSchedule ExecutionEnsure the floor executes against the schedule built by our Production Scheduler, and own schedule adherence across departmentsWhen something falls behind, bring a clear recovery plan — root cause, corrective action, and revised timelineWork closely with the Scheduler on realistic capacity, planned downtime, and staffing changes that affect what's achievableEscalate to the Director of Operations & Facilities Management when a schedule risk can't be resolved through normal recovery stepsQuality & Continuous ImprovementEnsure production output meets spec and customer quality requirements across all departmentsDrive root-cause analysis and corrective action on recurring quality or schedule issuesChampion continuous improvement on the floor — 5S, standard work, cycle-time reductionSchedule & On-Site ExpectationsOn-site at the start of the production shift to lead the morning huddle and set priorities for the day.
