Confidential in the Erie, PA area is seeking a Production Manager to direct a production department, drive continuous improvement in quality and productivity, and meet safety standards. You will coach and train staff, lead budgeting and planning, and manage performance issues while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include overseeing the production process, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in production management or related field.
• 2+ years of production management or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and managerial abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.

Job description

A manufacturer of plastic parts in the Erie, PA area is seeking a Production Manager for a full-time, direct hire role. This individual will direct and guide a production department towards continuous improvement in quality and productivity. This role will oversee overall production output and goals, ensure safety and quality standards are met, coach and direct a team, motivate and lead others, help to train new hires, and manage performance issues within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and evaluate entire production process for the department
• Contribute to production planning and budgeting
• Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage employees and provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
• Monitor productivity of the department and ensure production goals are met
• Help manage the budget for the department and evaluate the purchasing of new equipment, analyze retooling, productivity, and quality improvements
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent experience in production management role
• 2+ years of production management or leadership experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Strong understanding of production planning and budgeting, safety and quality standards, and KPI's used in manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising others and motivating and leading a team
• Proficiency in MS Office and an ERP system
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
