Wabtec is seeking a Supervisor of Operations in Columbia, SC. This role involves supervising shop employees in a manufacturing environment, providing leadership, and ensuring effective workflow and employee relations.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and a preference for a 2-year Associate's degree. The salary range is $85,000–$95,000, and relocation assistance may be provided.
The Supervisor of Operations position is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, coaches and develops employees, motivates them, counsels and disciplines them, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
This position supervises all employees of the department and is responsible for their performance and efficiency.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally is required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working conditions can be dirty, extreme hot/cold temperatures, and loud noises. Travel % = 5% or less.
The salary range for this role is $85,000–$95,000. Relocation may be provided if the candidate meets qualifications. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement; an annual bonus may also be available if eligible.
