You will maintain records, track performance metrics, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and warehouse teams to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Ten years of manufacturing experience, with at least five years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in solar, electronics, or high‑volume automated assembly manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with production, inventory, or ERP software systems.

Job description

We are seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within a solar panel production facility, including workforce supervision, production scheduling, quality control, equipment coordination, and safety compliance. This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and consistent output aligned with company standards and production goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate production staff and daily manufacturing activities across assigned shifts.
  • Plan, execute, and adjust warehouse schedules to meet output targets and customer demand.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure consistent quality, proper material flow, and adherence to process standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, performance metrics, and reporting documentation.
  • Oversee equipment operation, identify issues, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or preventive service.
  • Ensure proper handling, staging, and usage of raw materials and components used in solar panel assembly.
  • Implement and enforce safety, quality, and operational procedures throughout the production floor.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production employees; support skill development and cross‑training.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or defects and take corrective action promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and warehouse teams to support smooth daily operations.
  • Review and approve timekeeping, attendance, and labor allocation for production personnel.
  • Manage departmental budgeting and cost control, driving efficiency and process improvement
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, waste reduction, and workflow optimization.
  • Communicate production goals, updates, and issues to supervisors, leads, and management.
  • Perform other production management tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in solar, electronics, or high‑volume automated, assembly manufacturing preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed indoors on a manufacturing production floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. May require occasional outdoor work or off‑shift support.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and movement around production equipment required.
