A well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead operations in a high-volume production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership to production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards, lead investigations, and corrective actions for incidents.
- Lead day-to-day production execution against a master schedule to meet production schedules to meet customer demands while maximizing labor, material, and equipment efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure quality assurance to maintain product standards and drive root cause analysis on defects and rework.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and facility management to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Hire, train, coach, and conduct performance reviews for team members, support employee growth, and development.
- Monitor KPIs and use data to inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of production or operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success managing teams and improving employee engagement.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices, lean manufacturing, production planning, and continuous improvement methods.
- Effective communicator with excellent problem-solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods.
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving machinery.
- Use of PPE (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toed shoes) is required.
