Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant management experience.
• Previous construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufactured housing desired.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Microsoft Word and Excel plus basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read and understand home building specifications.
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead large groups and foster accountability as a team.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements including HUD codes.
• Prioritize safety and enforce safety guidelines.
• Review production performance and identify training needs.
• Direct department teams to meet timelines and priorities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and employee development.
• Improve processes using Lean, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Production Manager

Job Status: Full Time / Salary

Position Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team
• Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes
• Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines
• Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
• Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
• Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and team member engagement
• Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
