Refreshed Tech is seeking a Production Manager to lead refurbishing operations for electronics production lines, ensuring peak efficiency, meeting KPIs, and delivering high-quality refurbished devices.
The role requires strong leadership, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and a track record of improving production throughput in a high-volume environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of production management experience.
Production Manager will lead and optimize the refurbishing operations for our electronics production lines. This role is critical in ensuring peak efficiency, adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivering high-quality refurbished devices.
Strategically manage the daily production schedule, prioritize workflows, and allocate resources to maximize output and minimize downtime.
Continuously assess and refine production processes to reduce cycle times, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve throughput.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to boost efficiency and lower production costs.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production volume, yield rates, defect rates, turnaround time, and equipment utilization.
Regularly analyze KPI data to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and develop action plans to exceed performance targets.
Prepare detailed reports on production metrics for senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on KPI analysis.
Uphold strict quality control standards at every stage of the refurbishing process to meet both company and industry benchmarks.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to monitor defect rates and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing initiatives that reduce waste, streamline workflows, and boost productivity.
Work with cross-functional teams to introduce new tools, equipment, or technologies that enhance the efficiency of the refurbishing process.
Oversee inventory levels for all refurbishing parts and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted production while minimizing excess.
Lead, train, and motivate the production team to meet performance standards and work cohesively towards shared goals.
Conduct regular team meetings to review production performance, KPIs, and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting routine audits and enforcing best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety risks to minimize downtime and protect team members.
Proven ability to drive efficiency improvements and meet KPIs in a high-volume production setting
Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI tracking and performance management
Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other efficiency improvement methodologies is highly desirable
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of production management experience, preferably in electronics refurbishing or manufacturing
Experience leading and managing lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects
Work is typically performed indoors in an environmentally controlled office environment. There is little to no exposure to extreme environmental conditions and/or job hazards.
