Job summary

JBS Prepared Foods in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Production Maintenance team member to support our facilities and equipment. The role focuses on troubleshooting Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flexvac, and Slicer machinery, with training available for boiler, refrigeration, electrical systems, schematic reading, multimeters, hydraulics, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong mechanical inclination and technical aptitude.
• Two years of production maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Complete assigned work orders.
• Adhere to Safety Procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc.
• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Complete assigned responsibilities and oversee the mechanical work of equipment.
• Responsible for correcting or facilitating corrective measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and handle maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to ensure operation begins as scheduled.
• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.
