Job summary

JBS Prepared Foods in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production by troubleshooting Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flexvac, and Slicer equipment. You will monitor production areas, perform preventive tasks, and work 40+ hours weekly while following safety procedures.

Requirements include a High School diploma, ability to read and write English, and 2 years of maintenance experience in industrial settings. Company benefits begin after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
• Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.
• Two years of previous production maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Complete assigned work orders.
• Adhere to Safety Procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc
• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Complete assigned responsibilities and oversee the mechanical work of equipment.
• Responsible for correcting or facilitating corrective measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and handle maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled.
• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.

• This position includes but is not limited to the following duties:
• You will be troubleshooting machinery such as Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flexvac, and Slicer equipment. We will train if you have a background in:
• Boiler

• Schematic Reading
