Job summary

Original Composites and Fiberglass is seeking a Maintenance & Operations Technician to support facility maintenance, EHS activities, forklift operations, and production requirements. This role ensures safe, efficient site operations and backing for production schedules.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, equipment inspections, forklift movement, shipping/receiving support, and warehouse organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and housekeeping.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and finished goods.
• Load/unload trucks and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory.
• Restock production materials and maintain warehouse organization.
• Assist with production operator duties as needed to meet demand.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area and comply with procedures.
• Follow safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Leader.

About the Role

The Maintenance & Operations Technician is responsible for supporting facility maintenance, EHS activities, forklift operations, and production requirements, as needed, to ensure safe and efficient site operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, inspections, and housekeeping activities.
• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, totes, and pallets throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
• Restock production materials and maintain warehouse organization.
• Perform production operator duties, including filling bags, as needed to support customer demand and staffing requirements.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Leader.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions relating to safety, quality, and production.
• PPE is required - safety toe shoes or boots (safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided).
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment including work area and equipment.
• Must be able to stand in one area for extended periods of time, performing repetitive tasks.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

• Forklift certification
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Must be able to perform basic match skills
• Read, write, and comprehend English
• Must be able to work independently and as a team
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work scheduled shift based on production needs determined by the site leader
