Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows is seeking a skilled Production Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce precision components. The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and inspections to ensure parts meet engineering specs and customer requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of manufacturing CNC experience, proficiency with CAM software, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience programming CNC machines using G-code and CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, materials, and tolerances.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Job Description

Position Summary


We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Production Machinists with CNC programming experience to support high-quality manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet engineering and customer specifications. The ideal candidate combines strong machining knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.

  • Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.


Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts. Proper PPE and safety procedures are required at all times.
