Job summary

Tyson Foods in South Hutchinson, KS is hiring production operators to support a sausage production line. The facility operates six days a week. This position has a starting base rate pay of $21.05 per hour with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift placement.

Position schedules vary by available positions and some schedules may include a 7-day rotation. You will operate machinery, monitor and adjust settings, and learn the EIM system with hand held scanners.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months of operator experience, with the same employer.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Learn new EIM System and use hand held scanners, as well as any other duties assigned.
• Wear the appropriate PPE (steel toe shoes, bump cap and hearing protection) and dress appropriately before reaching workstation.
