Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Machine Operator to keep production moving by maintaining, servicing, and repairing production equipment and electrical systems. Your work directly supports product quality and daily production success.

Base rate is $21.25 per hour with potential pay premiums, shift differentials, overtime, and an annual bonus based on performance. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical/Rx, a 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience required.
• Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
• Must have personal tools and be able to use hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, PM task sheets and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training and direction to lower-level mechanics and techs.
