Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks a Production Machine Operator I in Grayslake, IL to produce products efficiently for customers. You will set up and operate machines, read BOMs and blueprints, and work with the Cell Lead to address discrepancies.

You will collaborate with the Quality Department to inspect during production, maintain a clean workspace, and perform light packaging and assembly while adhering to safety rules. TE Connectivity offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write and speak English.
• Familiarity with equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on discrepancies in drawings or BOM.
• Perform inspections with Quality Department to ensure specifications.
• Operate air and power tools as needed.
• Maintain productivity and follow safety procedures.
• Keep tools and area clean and organized.
• Perform packaging and light assembly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
