Job Summary

Helps production workers and operators by performing duties requiring less expertise. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Assists production operators.
  • Places products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
  • Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Observes equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notifies operators.
  • Lifts raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
  • Adds desiccant, re-works labels, and counts items for bottles or bags.
  • Maintains good manufacturing practices.
  • Transfers finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Packs and stores materials and products.
  • Counts finished products to ensure order completeness.
  • Separates products by weight, grade, size, or material composition.
  • Dumps materials into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
  • Bundles products for processing or shipment, following procedures.
  • Records information such as product counts, meter readings, and production times.
  • Prepares raw materials for processing.
  • Washes work areas, machines, and equipment.
  • Follows instructions from line leads or supervisors.
  • Packages finished products for storage or shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Prepares shipping materials and assists with loading and unloading shipments.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and wears PPE when handling hazardous materials or operating machinery.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment and workstations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Quick learner of production equipment.
  • Understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EPA, GMP) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate the premises.
  • Prolonged standing, repetitive actions, bending, and stooping.
  • Visual acuity for reading instructions and inspecting parts.
