Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking candidates for an entry-level manufacturing position on the production floor in Quincy, IL. The role involves performing a variety of line duties, housekeeping, material handling, and basic equipment operation to support packaging lines.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer/data-entry skills. The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, shift flexibility, and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, and painting.
• Operate a motorized forklift and other line duties as assigned.
• Keep lines stocked with packaging materials; report line down times.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.
• Understand and perform basic tasks within the M3 inventory system.

Job description

This position is reserved for employees that are dedicated to step up from an entry level position on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities

• The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Keep lines stocked with packaging materials
• Fill out appropriate paper related to the lines CCP's, production, packaging materials
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line
• Communicate with supervisor when line is down due to equipment/oil supply issues
• Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention
• Report/resolve any observed quality issues while operating line
• Proper start up, running and shut down of line
• Basic Ammonia Operation
• Knowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process
• Understand and perform basic tasks as needed within the M3 inventory system
• Basic Votator/Perfector operation
• Basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers

Compensation

Salary Range: $41,600 - $54,121 / Annually
