Job summary

Qualifications
- Basic math, reading and writing skills are required.
- Ability to recognize and solve recurring problems.
- Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment.
- Ability to read, interpret and complete production schedules and reporting forms.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work 12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all administrative forms for extrusion are accurate and timely.
- Keep vacuum, stuffer and vents clean and free of material.
- Maintain distilled water levels and additives in cooling tanks.
- Monitor lines at proper rates, temperatures and percentages per instructions.
- Ensure boards meet color and length schedules.
- Notify supervisors about issues affecting performance or quality.
- Monitor hourly line output to verify product quality.
- Maintain safe working habits around equipment and materials.
- Demonstrate teamwork by assisting coworkers as needed.
- Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required.
