Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Production Line Operator in Kansas City, MO to lead and sustain a fast-paced food production line. You will be cross-trained across lines, perform changeovers, and uphold safety, quality, and GMP standards on a daily basis.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving in a production environment, with opportunities to advance as processes and equipment are optimized.

Qualifications

• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.

• Forklift operation training provided as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the line and supervise the production run.
• Champion safety and quality guidelines and maintain 5S in the department.
• Prepare equipment for runs with safety checks and documentation.
• Operate production equipment and perform efficient changeovers.
• Maintain production areas and follow SOPs; ensure GMP compliance.
• Record downtime, perform quality checks, and report defective ingredients or machinery.

Position Title: Production Line Operator Wage: $18.00-$22.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:45am-4:30pm

Lead the line and make an impact! We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Production Line Operator to join a fast-paced food manufacturing team in Kansas City, MO. You’ll be cross-trained on multiple production lines and equipment, perform changeovers and quality checks, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and help lead the team in meeting production goals. Production Line Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead team operating the applicable production line
• Champion safety and quality guidelines and maintain 5s in the production department
• Prepare production equipment for runs, including proper safety checks and documentation
• Operate all production equipment and conduct efficient product changeovers
• Maintain production areas in proper state of cleanliness and follow all SOPs; follow GMPs and keep company in compliance with certifications (Organic, Kosher, HACCP, SQF, etc.)
• Perform Redzone production counts, quality checks, and downtime recording
• Properly handle blends and materials and report on defective ingredients or machinery

Production Line Operator Requirements:

• Previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and PPE requirements
• Knowledge of manual and power jack and forklift operation (training will be provided, as necessary)
• Basic computer skills: Redzone experience a plus but not required
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand for entire shift
• Proven communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; strong ability and willingness to problem-solve
