Title: Supply Chain Manager, Mid-Senior
Details:
- Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Non-Exempt
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0900hrs - 1700hrs EST
- Location: On-Site; Aberdeen, MD 21001
- Supervisory: Yes
Key Roles/Duties:
- Oversee the production line to ensure smooth workflow and timely output
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and coordinate activities among line workers and technicians
- Lead, train, monitor, and motivate production staff while addressing any performance issues
- Monitor product quality and enforce quality standards while working with QA/QC teams to investigate and resolve issues
- Recommend changes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs (identify inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing practices)
- Coordinate with planning and logistics teams to align production with inventory and delivery requirements
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to avoid production delays
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA or other relevant regulations
- Monitor raw materials, tools, and equipment availability
- Maintain records on production metrics such as output, downtime, and defects, and generate regular reports
- Ensure production goals and deadlines are met
- Ensure proper staffing levels for each shift or production run
- Communicate with engineering, maintenance, logistics, and quality teams to support overall production goals
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
- +3 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Experience using an ERP system
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 procedures or other quality systems
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, PMP
- +6 years of experience in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with production line support and troubleshooting
Travel:
Minimal, local travel less than 10% of the year
Clearance:
