Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Production Line Lead to ensure safe and efficient operation of our high-speed production lines in Winston-Salem, NC. This role emphasizes hands-on supervision, equipment monitoring, and quick problem resolution to maintain continuous output.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, relevant manufacturing experience, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience in high-speed manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift certification required or to be obtained.
• Mechanical ability and reading comprehension required.
• Strong communication skills and time management.
• Must be able to operate a computer for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery as required.
• Monitor equipment and report issues.
• Assist as back-up for Production Technicians.
• Escalate production floor issues to Supervisor.
• Oversee line operations during absence of Supervisor.
• Adhere to PQI standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Production Line Lead Role Overview

Ensures that all production machinery is operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery as required.
• Monitors equipment for proper operation, changes equipment as required, and informs maintenance mechanics of any mechanical problems.
• Serves as first level of defense for production floor problem solving, before escalating to Supervisor.
• Communicates to Supervisor any production floor issues.
• Acts as back-up for Production Technicians.
• Serves as a resource for production technicians to resolve questions and technical issues.
• Oversees production line operations during absence of Production Supervisor.
• Understands and follows PQI standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two (2) years of related field experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, physical stamina and reading comprehension skills required.
• Must demonstrate time management, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to use a personal computer for data entry.
• Must be able to successfully complete the forklift certification.
• Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
