Job summary

Fresh Express Salads is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Line Lead in Columbia, SC. The role oversees day-to-day operations for all lines in the area, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

Strong bilingual communication (English/Spanish or English/French) is preferred to liaise across teams and with scheduling. The position requires standing for long periods (10 hours+), lifting 25+ lbs, and working in a cold environment around 36 degrees Fahrenheit.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25+ lbs.
• Stand for long shifts (10 hours or more).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (or English and French).

Responsibilities

• Communicate and understand Production schedule.
• Communicate all scheduling concerns to Production Supervisor.
• Ensure that all production lines are staffed properly.
• Ensure lines are set up with correct product, COOL labeling and packaging information.
• Coordinate changeovers with machine operators and other line staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Monitor packaging lines to ensure correct quantities produced.
• Communicate mechanical issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete hourly documentation and follow daily schedule changes.
• Meet machine efficiency and downtime objectives.
• Assist in new hire orientation and training.
