Particle Control in Albertville, MN seeks a Production Line Lead to supervise a team of 1-4 operators on a semi-automated dry food processing line. You will verify line setup, monitor quality and productivity, and lead the pace of production to meet orders.

Responsibilities

• Verify components of a project are ready for each production order.
• Calibrate the production line with change-over techs and line operators; perform in-process checks.
• Assist in assembling/disassembling equipment.
• Share line setup, quality and filling specs with line staff to ensure adherence.
• Assist in training new leads and line employees.
• Lead production line for 70-90% of time; manage changeovers.
• Communicate shortcomings, challenges, needs, and solutions.
• Lead and operate production line and assist with changeovers.

Description & Responsibilities

The Production Line Lead leads a group of 1-4 people to process a variety of dry food materials with a semi-automated food processing system. The environment may be loud, dusty, warm, cold, or smelly. This includes verifying line set up and awareness of quality and productivity drivers. Must lead and set a consistent pace for efficient productivity.

• Verify all components of a project are accurate and ready for each production order.
• Work with change-over techs and Material Handlers and line operators to calibrate the production line for each production order and perform in-process checks to confirm production meets specifications.
• Aid in assembling/disassembling equipment
• Share line set up, quality and/or filling specifications with line employees to ensure consistent adherence to specifications and standards so that we ship only excellent product
• Assist in training new leads and line employees.
• Take charge in meeting production goals/throughputs and report on progress
• Communicate shortcomings, challenges, needs, solutions
• Leading and operating production line (70-90% of time), changeover assistance (10-20% of time), misc (10-20% of time)
