Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a production logistics coordinator to support factory steering by configuring and adjusting parameters for production systems and related tools. You will monitor production flow, assist with start-up/shutdown activities, and participate in failure analyses to implement containment and countermeasures.

The role involves collaboration with logistics engineering and production teams, blocking/unblocking units, and helping with controlled releases

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or in a related Engineering field is preferred, but not strictly required.
0-3 years of relevant professional experience in a logistics-oriented manufacturing environment is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Maintain and steer production restrictions by contingency rules.
Assist with blocking/unblocking units based on input from logistics engineering and production.
Support restart activities after outages to ensure synchronized factory operations.
Aid root cause analysis for production disruptions and determine containment measures.
Assist with controlled releases for special cars (e.g., PRO1/PRO2, trail cars, codes).
Participate in line set-ups for engineering enhancements, trials, or shutdowns.
Steer vehicle ratio based on program requirements and production output.
Attend regular meetings and perform other duties as required.
