Job summary

Martin Marietta's Rock-Solid Development Program offers an 18 to 24‑month structured training path in operations and leadership within our Aggregates business. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to plant operations, production management, and people leadership.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll develop technical fundamentals, contribute to safety and efficiency initiatives, and prepare for future supervisory roles as a Foreman or similar position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Familiarity with or knowledge of the mining, aggregates, construction materials, or related industries preferred.
• No prior full-time professional experience required.
• Previous internship, co-op, or industry-related experience is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to ethics, safety, and environmental measures.
• Use engineering principles to assist in pit development, plant design, and production improvements.
• Operate and maintain equipment throughout the plant (crushers, screens, conveyors, heavy equipment).
• Assist in drilling and blasting activities and support blast execution.
• Develop skills in employee coaching, communication, work planning, and crew leadership.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality control, and leadership teams to achieve goals.
