Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a Production Manager to lead Women’s Outerwear, Activewear and Sportwear production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee time-to-action calendars to ensure on-time deliveries.

You have 7+ years of production/sourcing experience, strong costing knowledge, Costco familiarity, and excellent communication to coordinate with factories and internal departments. Must be office-based 5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production/sourcing experience.
• Experience with Costco processes and procedures.
• G arment costing knowledge with strong factory negotiation skills; making cost sheets is a must.
• Well organized with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional teams (sales, planning, tech, fabric, design) and overseas offices.
• Manage the production team activities and adjust to changing priorities.
• Negotiate critical dates for time and action and approve style processes.
• Monitor Time and Action Calendar and resolve delivery-impacting issues.
• Daily communication with overseas and internal departments to resolve production issues.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies in the production department.
• Address logistical concerns with internal departments, vendors and overseas offices.
• Keep senior production team updated on quality and delivery risks.
• Communicate with internal and external departments on production calendar issues.
• Partner with sales regarding delivery extensions as needed.
• Issue POs to vendors and factories; create memos on shortages/overages.
• Resolve production issues by coordinating with design, Sales and Tech Design.
• Monitor weekly WIP reports from factories/vendors; review shipment extensions.
• Approve vessel bookings with Import department.
