Job summary

Crenlo Engineered Cabs in Watertown, SD seeks a Production Lead to assist in development, training, evaluation, and scheduling for seasonal and full-time staff. You will support the Production Supervisor in achieving daily and monthly goals related to safety, quality, accuracy and production.

The role includes expediting work orders, accurate production reporting, maximizing resources, and reducing scrap/rework. Ideal candidates are analytical multi-taskers with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Resolve day to day issues to meet production, safety, shipping and quality goals.
• Train, develop, and maintain training sheets on all employees and make recommendations for employee advancement.
• Complete production, scrap, and rework reports.
• Provide input on disciplinary reports, evaluations, and merit increases for full-time employees.
• Provide input on seasonal evaluation, disciplinary reports and merit increases.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and delegate daily work assignments.
• Record daily attendance of seasonal and regular full-time employees.
• Assist supervisor in incident/accident investigation and reporting.
• Provide a safe working environment.
• Act on behalf of the supervisor during absence.
• Act as First Responder during Plant emergencies.

Key Skills And Competencies

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions


• Basic math skills


• Ability to deal with standardized situations with as few variables as possible


• Ability to read assembly drawings


• Ability to frequently bend and stoop


• Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds


• Must be willing to travel as needed via most efficient means


• Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds


• Manufacturing experience preferred

Education And Experience Requirements

Working Conditions/Other

• Work Hours/Status:


• The 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm.


• The 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.


• The weekend shift includes Friday - Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
