Job summary

Crenlo is seeking a Production Lead to assist in development, training, evaluation, and scheduling of seasonal and full-time staff within a manufacturing setting. You will support the Production Supervisor to meet daily and monthly goals in safety, quality, and production, expediting work orders and maximizing resources while reducing scrap and rework.

The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and prioritizing skills, with the ability to act on behalf of the supervisor when needed.

• Ability to interact in a positive manner with management and other employees to achieve goals.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Basic ability to troubleshoot production/personnel issues.

• Train, develop, and maintain training sheets on all employees and make recommendations for advancement.
• Complete production, scrap, and rework reports.
• Provide input on disciplinary reports, evaluations, and merit increases.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and delegate daily work assignments.
• Record daily attendance of seasonal and regular full-time employees.
• Assist supervisor in incident/accident investigation and reporting.
• Provide a safe working environment.
• Act on behalf of the supervisor during absence.

Job description

The Production Lead assists in the development, training, evaluation, and work schedules of both seasonal and regular full-time employees within a given area. This role also provides support to the Production Supervisor in achieving daily and monthly goals in safety, quality, accuracy and production. The Production Lead will be responsible for expediting work orders through the manufacturing process, accurate production reporting and maximizing resources while reducing scrap/rework. This position acts on the behalf of the Production Supervisor, if absent. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical multi-tasker with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Resolve day to day issues to meet production, safety, shipping and quality goals.
• Train, develop, and maintain training sheets on all employees and make recommendations for employee advancement.
• Complete production, scrap, and rework reports.
• Provides input on full time disciplinary reports, evaluations, and makes recommendations for merit increases.
• Provide input on seasonal evaluation, disciplinary reports and merit increases.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and delegate daily work assignments.
• Record daily attendance of seasonal and regular full-time employees.
• Assist supervisor in Incident/Accident investigation and reporting.
• Provide a safe working environment.
• Act on behalf of the supervisor during absence.
• Other duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic math skills
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with as few variables as possible
• Ability to read assembly drawings
• Ability to frequently bend and stoop
• Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing to travel as needed via most efficient means
• Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds
• Manufacturing experience preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER

• Work Hours/Status:
• The 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am – 3pm.
• The 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
• The weekend shift includes Friday – Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
