Job summary

Colonial Group in Hibbing, MN is seeking a Team Lead for our industrial laundry facility. You will ensure safe, efficient handling of merchandise, support operations, and help maintain profitability while delivering high service levels.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and teamwork. You will train staff, assign shifts, monitor performance, and handle daily issues as directed. Overtime and weekend work may be required in this fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Train new employees.

• Lead special projects as assigned.
• Prepares appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verifies merchandise type and quantity on PUC card.
• Segregates like items together in a sling.
• Identifies counts, and totals ruin or damaged merchandise and records on the PUC card.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The Team Lead ensures a high level of service to customers while maintaining overall profitability by assisting with the management of safety, productivity, accuracy, turnover, and training within the department.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Team Lead responsibilities include:
• Train new employees
• Assist Management with monitoring employee performance and determining appropriate correction action

• Provide guidance to the team based on Management direction

Working Environment/Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.
• Work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends.
• Overtime required as needed.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $21.15, depending on circumstances, including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
