Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a team member to perform duties in an industrial laundry facility. The role focuses on safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and out of the facility.

You will prepare slings, verify counts on PUC cards, and maintain a clean work environment while following production best practices. Responsibilities include segregating items, recording damaged merchandise, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Prepares appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verifies merchandise type and quantity on PUC card; segregates like items together in a sling.
• Identifies counts, and totals ruin or damaged merchandise and records on the PUC card.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment / Safety Requirements

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.
• Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends.
• Overtime required as needed.

• Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
