Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, seeks a Lead Person to direct production activities across multiple work cell areas. The Lead Person may be required to perform any or all listed duties to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.

We require a high school diploma or GED and a good mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining safety and quality records, and coordinating with supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of production areas or startup of equipment as necessary.
• Inform supervisor of the status of various production orders.
• Direct workforce as assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow production schedule ensuring production standards are met.
• Check measurements and quality of all materials and completion of quality records.
• Correct quality issues within the department as assigned by supervisor.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment.
• Responsible for the training of employees and new hires as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned.
• Record material usage where required.
• Accountable for safety hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines.
