Base pay range

$17.94/hr - $18.94/hr

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $500MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Line Lead position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. This position will be based out of our Kar’s Nuts Products facility located at 1200 East 14 Mile in Madison Heights, Michigan.

This role ensures monitoring production processes by embodying the mission and goals set forth by Second Nature Brands, guiding and influencing production teams to achieve daily goals while ensuring safety. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting their leadership experience in manufacturing.

Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00pm to 7:00am, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $17.94 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Oversees multiple production lines to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost guidelines.
• Strong understanding of safety rules—OSHA, GMPs, FDA guidelines, SQF expectations, and proper cleaning and sanitation of machinery.
• Trains new associates and provides ongoing personal improvement training for experienced staff.
• Coordinates daily with quality control to ensure product excellence.
• Identifies production issues and works with leadership to resolve them promptly.
• Manages packaging inventory to ensure tools and materials are available.
• Maintains information within internal ERP and SAP systems.
• Completes required cross trainings, including Machine Operator and Production Service roles.
• Performs other duties as required.

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours.
• Walking up and down stairs.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Working in slightly elevated temperatures.
• Wearing PPE provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Management experience and ability to instruct, motivate, and guide teams.
• Team-oriented and focused.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Proficient in English, calculator, and computer skills.
• Basic math and communication skills.

Work Environment

• Work near moving mechanical parts in a high-noise indoor food manufacturing setting.
