Job summary

Insa is seeking a Production Lead in Florida to supervise multiple production areas, ensure SOP compliance, and mentor Kitchen I & II Associates. The role focuses on safety, training, and meeting production goals while maintaining logs and quality control.

Requires 1–3 years cannabis production experience and leadership familiarity. Responsibilities include labeling, packaging, inventory, and maintaining a compliant, efficient operation in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

The Production Lead supervises multiple functional areas, and performs all related functions including trimming, grinding, packaging, labeling, and recordkeeping. This position is responsible for ensuring associates are cross trained, are following company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, and are meeting production goals.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Self-directed and anticipates instructions given by manager; accept and embrace shifts in production demands.
• Gather, arrange, and sort materials.
• Process materials into finished goods.
• Operate production machinery in accordance with INSA's and manufacturer's instructions and intended use.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper set-up and alignment; performs basic routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure uniformity.
• Package finished goods in store ready packaging.
• Label all items, SRPs, and batches accurately.
• Produces the required quantity of products within established timeframes and specifications ; demonstrate understanding of production goals and initiate team effort in meeting needs.
• Maintain production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports
• Mentor Kitchen I & II Associates and assists with training new employees.
• Compliant with company SOPs and state regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Champion a safe work environment by modeling safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent repetitive hand motion
• Manual dexterity is needed for manipulating food items and tools.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, including hot and cold items.
• Ability to push and pull.
• Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and labels.
• Warehouse/production facility environment with environmental controls
• Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
• Exposure to keef/dust and cannabis odor
• Exposure to skin contact with plants, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)

Insa is a multi-state employer, and this is the company-wide pay range. Offers will be provided in accordance with state-specific minimum wage guidelines.
