Job summary

Digi International in Sandy, UT is seeking a Production Lead to guide daily manufacturing operations and ensure quality and safety standards. You will partner with cross-functional teams to meet goals while maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities include leading staff, balancing workloads, training on SOPs, monitoring flow, and driving continuous improvements. This role requires 2+ years in production and strong leadership, with a hybrid benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience.
• Strong communication and team coaching skills.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow SOPs.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, or production tracking tools).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production line staff in completing daily tasks.
• Assign workstations, balance workloads, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Train team members on SOPs, safety practices, and assembly processes.
• Monitor production flow and resolve bottlenecks or interruptions.
• Perform in-process quality checks and elevate issues as needed.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Verify materials, tools, and equipment readiness prior to production.
• Coordinate with supply chain or inventory teams on material needs.
• Track production metrics including output, scrap, and downtime.
• Communicate updates during shift handoffs and team meetings.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
