Wesley-International in Stone Mountain, GA, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily manufacturing activities. You will lead hands-on, data-driven initiatives to meet safety, efficiency, and schedule goals while supporting multiple departments and customer commitments.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in Lean manufacturing and SOP/WIs development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a related leadership role.
• Experience supervising, leading, training, or coordinating production employees preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and manufacturing best practices.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Production Manager in planning, coordinating daily/weekly production activities to meet targets.
• Monitor production progress and communicate status, priorities, and delays.
• Support execution of schedules and adjust priorities for operational issues.
• Identify bottlenecks, workflow issues, and barriers to goals.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions with Engineering.
• Lead training of production employees on SOPs, WIs, and safety requirements.
• Coach and mentor employees to promote consistency, accountability, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor adherence to procedures and address deviations.
• Provide KPI data, maintain records, and analyze trends for improvements.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
