Position Summary

The Production Lead is responsible for the daily coordination and utilization of equipment and production personnel. Key functions include working with Operators and Support functions to ensure tooling and materials are available, equipment operates properly, Operators are trained, process issues are addressed promptly, and product quality and safety standards are maintained.

Essential Job Functions

• Safety: Model and promote safe work habits, including proper PPE usage. Support safety investigations and accident prevention tools.
• 5S: Maintain a clean and organized plant environment, supporting continuous improvement of the facility.
• Production Support: Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to organize orders, understand manufacturing complexities, and ensure timely, quality products for customers.
• Resource Management: Effectively utilize manpower and equipment, ensuring materials, tooling, and support are available when needed.
• Production Maintenance: Assist Operators to sustain production levels while maintaining quality standards.
• Data Entry: Record shift production numbers into the system at shift end.
• Communication: Foster effective communication across shifts and departments, including Production, Maintenance, and Quality.
• Leadership Support: Step in for the crew supervisor when necessary.

Qualifications

• Basic to moderate math skills.
• Knowledge of production standards and industry regulations.
• Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Basic Lean Sigma knowledge.
• Ability to multitask and adapt priorities to support manufacturing needs.
