Job summary

jbconsulting is seeking a full-time Production Lead Carpenter in Raleigh, NC. The role oversees remodeling and construction projects, coordinating crews and trade partners to deliver high-quality results.

You will read and interpret plans, manage costs, and interact professionally with clients, designers and subcontractors. A strong finish and rough carpentry background is essential, along with excellent communication skills and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years of residential remodeling or construction experience including leading projects.
• Strong carpentry skills in rough and finish carpentry.
• Experience leading projects, subcontractors, and/or field personnel.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contracts.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of residential building codes and construction practices.
• Proficiency with Buildertrend or similar software.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day execution and management of remodeling and/or construction projects including sub-trades and crew members.
• Serve as on-site client liaison and advocate, resolving issues and guiding resolution.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, and Production teams to ensure understanding of design, scope and specs.
• Monitor job costs and workflow to meet budgeted costs and schedule; document progress with daily logs and code labor and materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the day-to-dayexecution andmanagement of assigned remodeling and/or construction projects, including sub-trades and crew members.
• Representscompanyasthe on-site client liaison and advocate, resolving issues as they ariseand/orsettingthemupforproperresolutionand seeing them through.
• Collaborates with the relevant Design, Sales, and Production teammembers to ensure a thorough understanding of thedesign,scopeand specifications thoroughout theduration of the project.
• Manages and monitors job costs and workflow to ensure each project meets or exceeds theanticipatedbudgeted costsand is completed within theanticipatedscheduledtimeframe. This includes documenting progress by completing daily logs; and using established company cost codes, a accurately coding all labor (and ensuring other team members do the same) using our time-tracking system; and accurately coding all material invoices and submitting them to the office weekly.

• Working knowledge of residential building codes and construction practices.
• Proficiencywith smartphones, tablets,Buildertrend, or similar construction software.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service andmaintainpositive relationships with clients and trade partners.
• Ability to understand construction drawings,scopes of work, specifications, contracts, drawing notes, and business correspondence.
• Must be an excellent judge of quality.
• Strong senseof urgency and abilityto workwithin deadlines.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
